The moment we start feeling hot, what we generally do is just grab a bottle of aerated drink, and drink it straight away in order to quench the thirst. This is one of the major mistakes that most of us commit. Aerated drinks give you the satisfaction just for a while, but we do not realize the harm it does to our body.

1. Coconut Water:
Coconut water consists of natural electrolytes; it helps to keep the body hydrated. Make it a point to drink the water of at least one coconut every day. It helps to provide the needed energy during hot summer days.

2. Cucumber:
Rich in water and fibre content, cucumber is also filled with several vitamins. It not just helps to keep the body cool but also gives you that refreshing feeling.

3. Yogurt:
It is one of the best known probiotics. You can just have it or drink it in the form of lassi with added fruits like strawberries. It gives you that instant energy during the scorching hot summer days.

4. Mint:
Mint has a cooling effect and it gives you a refreshing feeling. You can add it to your favourite raita or consume it in the form of chutney by grinding it along with curd.

5. Lime Water:
Ditch the aerated drinks and make it a point to have lime water instead. It is healthy and at the same time helps in providing a cooling effect to the body.

8. Eating Light Food:
