Have you noticed lately, a number of gyms and classes offering other forms of exercises are on the rise? If yes, then you must have realised by now that people are becoming more and more fitness conscious and so, they try to engage themselves in some form of physical activity or the other.
During the olden times, or even now in rural settings, people were accustomed to doing physical work on their own, like farming, household chores, etc., so they got their dose of daily exercise without even trying.

These days, most people have busy desk-bound jobs which leaves them little or no time for exercising; also, we are used to hiring help to take care of our household chores.

According to experts, an average person must exercise at least for an hour every day, if he/she wants to remain healthy.
Without regular exercise, we can suffer from diseases such as obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, joint pain, digestive disorders and even mental ailments like depression.
Even certain types of cancers have been linked to lack of exercise. So, it is important to ensure that you get into some form of exercise, which can be practiced on a regular basis, if you want to remain healthy.
Regular exercise is as important as a balanced diet and a stress-free environment, if you want to attain good health.

depression
is
a
very
common,
yet
serious
mental
ailment
that
numerous
people
suffer
from
across
the
globe.
Depression can affect both men and women in equal measures and it can affect children as young as a year old! Depression can be described as a mood disorder in which a person feels extremely low, sad, dejected, etc., for a long time, caused due to chemical reactions in the brain triggered by hormones.
Depression can be caused by a number of reasons such as, severely negative life incidents such as rejection or death of a loved one, loneliness, lack of a life vision, financial issues, health issues, heredity, pregnancy, etc.

In extreme cases, people suffering from severe, untreated depression, can also try to take their own lives! So, it is very important to treat depression immediately!
Now, a recent research study conducted by the Black Dog Institute in Australia said that exercising for just about 2 hours in a week can treat depression by reducing its symptoms.

Exercising for just two hours can increase the production of serotonin in the brain. The serotonin hormone is very much required to reduce the symptoms of depression.
So, even if you have a busy schedule, keeping aside just two hours for exercise in a week can treat depression, naturally.
