10 Reasons Why Coffee Is Bad For You

Coffee is essentially the brewed drink that is obtained from the coffee beans, which grow in the plant. Coffee is said to have originated from Ethiopia, wherein the plant was first discovered there but the drink originated in Yemen. Coffee is grown extensively in over 70 countries around the world, including America, Africa and India.
The two kinds of coffee beans include Arabica, which is more sophisticated and Robusta, which is a harder and cheaper version of the beans.
With the growing mechanization of the society, people have no time for anything. Coffee has seeped into each sphere of our lives; be it breakfast or as an after-dinner beverage. Here are the 10 reasons why coffee is bad for you!

#6 Detoxification Of The Liver And Drug Metabolism
The constituents in coffee can interfere with the normal drug metabolism and detoxification of the liver. People who take medicines for thyroid are more likely to experience the side effects, as these medicines are poorly absorbed in the body, due to coffee intake.

#8 Worsens Constipation
For people who think coffee can help with constipation, NO! Coffee is likely to give momentary relief from the condition; but there are chances it might reoccur again. Coffee is a big dehydrating agent, which will worsen the constipation. It is also not a good source of dietary fibre, hence making it a strict no-no during constipation.

#9 Reduces Fertility
Research suggests that coffee can actually cause infertility, mostly amongst women. Women who are willing to conceive should steer clear of this beverage, as it tends to prevent the development of egg cells, making them impotent.

#10 May Cause Miscarriage
Due to the caffeine content and the stimulating effects, coffee is known to be a big player when it comes to miscarriage. This is the reason why pregnant women are advised to limit their intake to 2 cups per day. It further increases the chances of a premature delivery due to its stimulating nature.
