Things That Can Happen To Your Body If You Stop Working Out
There are serious side effects on health when a person stops working out. This article explains about a few of them.
A continuous workout can have immense benefits on the body; but if you stop doing it, the results are devastating and shocking as well. If a person stops doing workouts, it can lead to serious effects on the body that include excess weight gain and loss of memory.
However, doing a workout is exceptionally good; but if you happen to stop, your body starts to suffer in several ways.
Check out what happens to your body if you stop doing workouts.

1.
Blood
Pressure
Rises
Your
blood
pressure
will
start
rising
soon
after
you
stop
doing
workouts.
When
you
adopt
to
a
sedentary
lifestyle,
your
blood
vessel
tends
to
slow
down
its
movement
and
this
results
in
increase
in
blood
pressure.
After
3
weeks
of
your
workouts,
the
stiff
arteries
and
veins
make
it
difficult
for
the
blood
circulation,
thus
raising
the
level
of
blood
pressure
in
the
body.
However, if you start workout once again, the whole scenario unfolds. Once your body starts sweating, the blood pressure starts to drop and attains the minimum level required by the body. The heart starts pumping out in the abnormal way, thus causing an effect on the body.

2.
Sugar
Level
Rises
Up
After
you
stop
doing
the
workout,
the
level
of
glucose
in
the
body
increases.
The
level
of
sugar
then
drops,
as
the
tissues
and
muscles
use
up
the
glucose
to
convert
it
into
energy.
However, after you have stopped working out, the level of sugar in the blood remains stable for 2-3 weeks and then the level of sugar starts rising up. If you are not opting for any activities, the level of sugar spikes up and further leads to the risk of diabetes, heart problems, and thyroid problems. Hence, it is very important to opt for a workout, as it helps to balance the level of sugar in the body and also helps treat type 2 diabetes, thyroid, etc.

3.
Your
Weight
Increases
Soon
after
you
have
stopped
doing
workouts,
you
tend
to
gain
the
weight
tremendously.
Along
with
the
weight,
you
can
also
see
a
difference
with
the
waist
circumference,
which
means
it
increases
with
a
few
inches.
Depending upon the exercise, your body weight starts shrinking and after you leave the workout, it doubles up with speed. You may also deal with fatigue quite often and see a tremendous change in your body mass.

4.
You
Plump
Up
Two
weeks
after
you
stop
doing
a
workout,
your
body
slows
down
the
potential
to
lose
weight
and
metabolism
in
the
body
decreases.
You
tend
to
look
plumped
up
like
before
and
this
may
also
lead
to
an
uneven
shape
of
the
body.
Even
after
doing
cardio,
muscle
training
and
aerobics,
your
body
takes
the
time
to
come
back
in
shape
after
you
have
stopped
working.
You
may
gain
weight
50
percent
and
you
tend
to
lose
only
10
percent
of
it.

5.
Your
Brain
Starts
Suffering
Stopping
workout
not
only
affects
your
body,
but
it
may
also
affect
your
brain.
Two
weeks
after
you
have
stopped
doing
a
workout,
your
brain
suffers
to
a
large
extent.
According
to
studies,
it
is
said
that
performing
exercises
can
help
to
boost
every
part
of
the
body
and
also
boosts
the
working
of
the
brain.
Stopping
workout
immediately
may
disallow
your
brain
to
function
normally.
