Coconut water is one of the best sugar free beverages which is good for diabetics. It is rich in antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, calcium, iron and loads of other nutrients which help in providing the body with the needed energy.

6. Buttermilk:
Rich in electrolytes with no added sugar, buttermilk helps in fighting against the loss of water from the body. It is one of the best sources of hydration for diabetics.

7. Avoid Overeating After You Break Fast:
People generally eat high calorie food to break the fast. But diabetics should see to it that they break the fast with low fatty foods which contain very less sugar. Baked food is always better.

8. Keeping A Check On the Blood Sugar Level Must:
All through your fasting period keep a tab on the sugar level by measuring it often in between.

9. Adjust The Dose Of Insulin:
When you make up your mind to go on fasting then you need to adjust the dose of your insulin accordingly for the day.
