How To Prevent Constipation Before Periods
Constipation could make you feel restless. In fact, constipation, bloating, diarrhea, stomach pain and cramps are common before periods in some women.

But yes, there are ways to prevent constipation. Estrogen and progesterone are the hormones involved in the monthly cycles. So, progesterone may affect the digestive system and this could cause constipation.
Normally, after the period starts, constipation may vanish. So, it is better to stay stress free and have sufficient sleep. Here are some more tips to prevent constipation.

Start eating foods rich in fibre before your period. This can prevent constipation before your due date.

Tip #2
Avoid foods that contain too much of salt and refined sugars. Stay away from processed foods before your period. They may affect both digestion and hormones.

Ensure that you get enough physical activity as it can boost digestion.

Tip #4
Both alcohol and caffeine affect digestion and therefore, avoid both before your period.

Tip #5
Drink sufficient water as water has its own role in regulating digestion.

Tip #6
Beans and peas can reduce the chances of constipation. They can pass through your digestive system easily. Include them to your diet.

Consult a doctor if none of the above tips work. If constipation becomes a daily issue, then a doctor might suggest suitable solution.
