Eat Pasta To Curb That Extra Flab - Study
Yummy pastas have been a favourite food for every other kid and also for a few adults and elderly who love to gorge on it often.
However, fearing its consequences that it is not healthy and that it adds to fats to our body, some people restrict its consumption. Few people seem to have totally shunned from consuming pasta.
Hold on, there is some really good news for all the pasta lovers out there!

Surprisingly, a study has revealed that eating pasta leads to the decrease in the body mass index and also the chances of becoming obese.
So, now without having a second thought, those crazy about having pasta can go ahead and satisfy their craving for it.

Pasta has been one of the most important, traditional and popular Italian Mediterranean dishes.
Above all is the fact that Mediterranean diet is believed to contain a healthy amount of nutrients, so its consumption in moderate quantity is considered to be good for one's health.
According to the study conducted by the researchers at the Institute of Research, Hospitalisation and Health Care Neuromed in Pozzilli, Italy, and the published journal - Nutrition and Diabetes, consuming pasta as per one's individual needs is found to contribute to a healthy body mass index.

Not just that, it was also found to contribute to lower one's waist circumference and aid in providing a better waist-hip ratio.
Pasta consumption in moderation is associated with a better weight management, as it forms a part of the healthy Mediterranean diet, opined the study.
A total of 23,000 people were taken into consideration for the study. Their eating habits, like what they had eaten during the previous 24 hours, including the time, place of consumption, detailed description of the foods or beverages, the quantity consumed and the specific brands were analysed.

The study revealed a contrary result as to what most of us think. That is, eating pasta does not lead to the increase in body weight, but it is exactly the opposite, instead it helps curb that extra flab.
However, it should be ensured that pasta needs to be a portion of the diet and not the whole meal itself, in order to reap its health benefits.
