How To Avail The Health Benefits Of Ramzan
Ramadan is a time when our stomach and other body organs such as liver and kidneys get a break. These organs detoxify themselves and all the accumulated toxins are removed from kidneys, liver and stomach during the holy month of Ramadan.
Why Dates Should Be Eaten During Ramadan
Ramadan not only purifies our soul but also the body. We also get a golden opportunity to lose weight and become healthy (however don't fast for weight loss as this will nullify your fast). During Ramadan there is an overall body repairing going on and you can add an extra effect to it by following simple tips during Ramadan.
10 Things Not To Be Done During Ramadan
Some people eat more unhealthy foods (oily food, junk food and processed food) at the time of iftaar. This may not help you to avail the health benefits of Ramadan. To lose weight and make your body healthy during this holy month, you need to follow some do's and dont's during the month of Ramadan.

Trick Your Body For Sugar Cravings
In Ramadan after breaking fast if you get sugar cravings, just don't simply avoid it. Avoiding your sugar tooth will increase the cravings later on. Have a few dates, fruits, raisins, dark chocolate and other healthy snacks to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Include More Fibres In Your Diet
Have oats, whole grain bread, wheat germ, fruits and vegetables. They will keep you fuller and you will not indulge in over eating. These foods are also rich in fibres that are good for heart and also prevent constipation.

Avoid Oily And Sugary Foods
In the month of Ramadan these foods are common and all of us prefer having these foods after fasting. Control your craving for these oily and sugary foods. You can have fruits and dry fruits instead of these fatty foods.

Eat In Breaks
At the time of iftar, avoid eating all the food together. Have dates and fruits first and then have two glasses of water. Then give a break as your mind takes time to signal your stomach that it is full. Later after a couple of hours have your dinner.

Try To Eat More In Sohur Than In Iftar
This is also a difficult job to do as during iftar time you are more hungry and at sohur there is no appetite at all. However, if you will control eating at iftaar time, you will feel hungry at sohur.

Have You Dinner Early
After breaking your fast don't eat your dinner too late. Having a heavy dinner late at night causes weight gain and you don't feel to eat anything at sohur.

Drink A Lot Of Water
Since in the holy month of Ramadan your body gets the benefits of removing the toxins so drinking water helps your body to remove it more effectively from your system. Drink at least 5 to six glasses of water in frequent internals at iftar and sohur.

Work Out
If is hard to exercise during the month of Ramadan, however we can do the daily chores rather than taking rest or simply sitting. After iftar (breakfast) you can go for a brisk walk or do some mild exercise. Make sure to have light iftar first and then wait for couple of hours before exercising.
