Dealing With Employees' Mental Health Issues
In today's fast paced world, the concept of ‘work to live’ is more of an irony because the kind of lifestyle we succumb to at our workplaces actually takes life out of us (figuratively speaking).
All of us who are trying to make our independent standing in the world, face mental and physical stress at various stages of our professional lives. But when office tensions make a permanent home in our heads, they soon pave way to severe mental stress thus ultimately lowering our productivity and making us feel pathetic while the environment around us at our workplace transforms into a monstrous site in our perspective.

Let us find out ways of dealing with deteriorating mental and physical health of employees in this new world where being best is the only choice that you have been given.

What
Employees
Can
Do?
It
is
normal
to
think
why
your
boss
overlooks
your
best
efforts
or
tops
it
up
by
humiliating
you
for
no
apparent
reason
but
as
you
keep
dwelling
over
these
thoughts,
you
keep
drowning
your
self
confidence
which
if
not
controlled,
can
degrade
your
mental
health.
Mental health of employees can largely be handled by employees themselves in such situations. If you fall victim to leg pulling by your colleagues or bosses, repeat to yourself, “who cares?” Be it anywhere and whatever situation, you are the boss of you in all walks of life.
Don’t expect your boss to turn into an angel overnight, instead, change yourself and become stronger than ever. Don’t breakdown but also don’t allow anyone to exhaust your power and peace.
What
Bosses
Can
Do?
We
live
in
a
world
where
sitting
in
a
chair
for
straight
hours
and
listening
to
demoralizing
comments
from
bosses
seem
normal
unless
we
face
the
side
effects
of
it.
Companies
should
understand
that
everything
productive
they
offer
their
employers
will
keep
their
employees
productive
as
well.
It
is
a
matter
of
give
and
take
clearly.
Especially with regard to mental health of employees, companies should design working strategies keeping in mind that there company runners are human beings who come with certain mental and physical limitations and hence they should not be drowned in work.
Doctor’s
advice
Generally
depression
hits
employees
when
they
are
pushed
to
achieve
targets
which
are
too
high
to
fall
within
their
mental
and
physical
limits.
So
they
instantly
turn
morose
when
the
targets
are
not
met
and
the
bosses
declare
it
the
end
of
the
world!
If you feel your spirits are drowning beyond your control, take doctor's help. Discuss your condition with only those who you feel are capable of understanding it. Besides taking doctor prescribed anti depressants, indulge in activities that uplift your spirits.
Physical
Health
Isn't
it
amazing
how
merely
punching
keys
while
sitting
in
chair
for
hours
can
give
you
health
problems
like
spondylitis
and
severe
body
aches?
Employers should make thorough use of their lavish gymnasiums and include exercising in the daily working hours of all their employees.
Air conditioned environment with no proper ventilation whatsoever can affect physical health of employees severely and may result in health issues such as sinusitis, headache, dryness of hair and skin. So instead of ACs, switch on to fans sometimes and open those windows to fulfill the natural requirements of your bodies.
