Foot Problems: Are Your Shoes Causing Pain?
Foot problems are one of the most irritating ailments in the world. You can survive a stomach ache through out the day. But if your feet hurts, it will make you totally immobile. So, foot problems are not to be ignored. Especially if they are caused due to wearing the wrong kind of shoes. Most foot problems occur because we do not realise that we are wearing the wrong shoes.
Foot problems that are a result of wearing the wrong kind of shoes can easily be avoided. These are some tips to help you choose the right kind of shoes for your feet.

Do Your Shoes Hurt?
It is normal for your shoes to hurt your feet when they are new and hard. This is called a shoe bite. But if your shoes continue to hurt you even after a week, it could only mean that you are wearing the wrong sized footwear. The pain that you feel is because your shoe is being cramped into a smaller shoe. It can lead to blood clots, cramps and even makes your feet numb.
Right Shoes For The Occasion?
There is a right shoe for doing every activity. You cannot go to the gym in high heels. So when you are exercising or going for a run, you need to have well balanced sports shoes or sneakers. If you wear any other kind of shoes, it can result in severe ankle injuries as it keeps you off balance.
Good Walking Shoes?
The best shoes for walking are those that have thick but flat soles. When you have to do a lot of walking, never wear shoes with pointed toes. These shoes put undue pressure on your ankle and hurt the nerve endings that are abundantly present in the soles of your feet.
Shoe For Your Shape?
The shape of your feet also determines the kind of shoes one should wear. If your toes are spread out, you should wear shoes that have open toes. Covered shoes often cramp your toes. The sweat and cramping can cause skin problems and itching. But if your toes are close together, you can wear covered shoes.
Diabetic Foot
If you are a diabetic then you need to be extra careful with your feet. There is something called special diabetic footwear that has soft soles. The soles of diabetic person's feet become tender and prone to injury. So they should always use special footwear.
These are some of the ways to choose the right shoes for your feet and avoid foot problems. What kind of shoes do you prefer?
