Green Tea Has Side Effects Too!

How and when to have green tea?
Have it fresh: Freshly prepared green tea is healthy and good for the body. You can either have it hot or cold but make sure it is not stored for more than an hour. Bubbling hot tea can cause throat cancer, so avoid sipping extremely hot green tea. If you store the tea for a long time, it will lose its vitamins and antioxidants. Also, the antibacterial properties diminish with time. In fact, it starts harbouring bacteria if left for too long. So, make fresh green tea to avoid its side effects on the body.
1 hour before meal: Dieters prefer taking green tea before a meal. This is because green tea is useful to lose weight. It controls appetite for a long time. The ideal time to take green tea is one hour before or after a meal. This is because green tea has caffeine that controls appetite. So, if taken 1 hour before teh meal, it controls hunger. If you want to avoid munching fried and heavy evening snacks, have a cup of green tea with low fat biscuits. Avoid having green tea early in the morning, especially on empty stomach.
Never take with medicines: To avoid the side effect of the medicines and green tea, never have them together. The best way to take medicines is with water or as per the direction prescribed by the doctor.
Not too strong: Highly concentrated or strong green tea has more caffeine and polyphenols. These ingredients in green tea have side effects on the body. Strong or concentrated green tea can cause indigestion, sleeplessness, palpitations in heart to name a few.
Only two-three cups: As mentioned earlier, excessive consumption of anything has its side effects. Similarly, having more than 2-3 cups of green tea can harm your body. As it has caffeine, restrict your intake to a maximum of 3 cups every day.
These are few side effects of green tea. Although it helps lose weight, limited consumption of this beverage is good for the body.
