But red wine which is made naturally can help protect your heart from diseases.
Many studies have suggested that moderate consumption of wine for people above 30 helps the heart from blockage and controls blood pressure too. It is said to clear blood vessels and stop the damage due to fat deposits in the body. Grapes consists of resveratrol, fluid phenolics which prevent clotting of blood.

Although pregnant women are often advised not to consume alcohol at all. It is said to affect the foetus and can lead to breathing problems. However, a glass of wine is considered healthy for them as they are rich source of antioxidants (as much as the grape juice in wine).
