What do you use coconut oil for? For most of us the answer will be hair care. Well, coconut oil has several other health benefits than hair care. Lets look at some of the health benefits of coconut oil -
1.Digestion – The first health benefit of coconut oils that it promotes digestion. The saturated fat present in coconut oil have anti microbial properties which treats bacterias, fungi and parasites which cause indigestion. It also helps to absorbe nutritions like minerals, vitamins and amino acids. Coconut oil is also a cure for stomach disorders.
2.Weight Loss – The next important health benefit for Coconut oil is weight loss. The medium-chain fatty acids of the coconut oil sheds excessive fat but not letting it accumulate. One of the major causes of weight gain thyroid imbalance is cured with coconut oil. It enhances metabolism, thus, proving itself to be a fitness solution and even a cure for obesity.
3.Anti-Bacterial Property – One of the major health benefits of coconut oil is it's anti-bacterial property. It is claimed that coconut oil helps in dealing with virus and bacterias which causes diseases like influenze, herpes etc.
4.Premature Aging – As the skin ages, it tends to become dry, loose moisture and elasticity, thus, resulting in wrinkles, age spots etc. Due to excessive pollution, exposure to sun rays, faulty diet etc, the skin suffers premature aging. Regular intake and application of coconut oil due to it's antioxidant properties and mosturising agent, prevents premature aging.
5.Healing – Most of the injuries take time to heal due to coming in contact with germs, virus etc. When coconut oil is applied on an injury, it forms a chemical layer which protects the infected body part from external dust, air, fungi etc and enhances the healing process.
