Majority of the disposable containers used to serve and pack food can cause cancer, warns the food-packaging experts.

The use-and-throw dishware often contain excessive amounts of chemicals. About 30 percent of the disposable dishware used can be second-rate. The countries like China use 15 billion disposable food boxes annually. These boxes are made of foam, plastic or paper pulp. Paper pulp is generally safer, but more expensive. The boxes made of foam and plastic constitute about 45 percent of market share each. The plastic contain the organic compounds like Bisphenol A, which are very hazardous to health. These compounds are capable to cause breast and uterine cancer, brain malfunctions, etc. The plastic containers which use the latest nanotechnologies can be an exception for this.
