According to the Islamic calender, Ramadan is the fasting month. That is the time when people fast during the day and consume food after sun set.
Ramadan offers both spiritual and health benefits. Actually, spending so much of time without eating anything can bring down blood sugar levels in those whose glucose levels are high. The body finishes off the stored glucose during the fast.
Some people successfully lose weight whereas some people successfully correct their cholesterol levels after following the practice. However, here are some mistakes to avoid during Ramadan. Here are they:

#1
Drinking too much of "Rooh afza" could add lots of additives, sugar and even colurs to your body. Moderation is the key. Drink it 2 times a week.

#2
Drinking lots of water before Iftaar time is another thing to avoid. Just sip some water at Iftaar.

#3
Don't hit the gym soon after iftaar. Maintain at least 2 hours of gap to allow your body digest food.

#4
Trying to chew or swallow the food hastily is another mistake. Chew it slow to aid digestion.

#5
Eating desserts immediately. This is another mistake as you'll feel sleepy. Give a gap of 2 hours and then enjoy your dessert.

#6
Eating foods that contain sodium may trigger thirst. Eat a banana as it contains potassium and can control thirst.
