10 Unhealthy Indian Breakfasts To Avoid
It is rightly said to eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar. Ever since people started taking this statement to heart, breakfast options have become a total mess!
Indians do fill their tummy to the fullest when seated at the dining table for breakfast, but the sad thing is - we consume wrong unhealthy breakfast meals, which we should actually avoid at any cost.
10 WORST BREAKFAST FOODS TO BEGIN YOUR DAY WITH
South Indian dishes like idli and vada are highly unhealthy as the latter is fried in deep oil, thus leading to weight gain. Idli, although steamed is seriously unhealthy too as it is made entirely out of starch.
Keeping this in mind, studies show there are many more unhealthy Indian breakfasts we should avoid in order to stay healthy. Take a look at why you should avoid these Indian breakfasts this morning:

Vada Pav
Did you know a single plate of vada pav contains around 168 calories. If you're planning to lose weight, this breakfast option is not good for you, my friend.

Medu Crispy Vada
We South Indians can't seem to resist the crispy vada with a soft idli. However, this unhealthy breakfast should be avoided since it contains Black gram lentils which are difficult for the body to break down. Opt for foods that lack oil and are easy for digestion.

Parathas
Stay away from parathas made from maida. They are unhealthy for the digestive system and thus leads to that nauseous feeling. Opt for healthier parathas made from jowar, ragi, wheat etc.

Bread Toast
Your bread toast loaded with butter is not a healthy option to have for breakfast. This fast meal chosen by many people should be avoided as bread is made out of maida and butter, well it's fattening and loaded with calories.

Hot Puris
Keep away from anything that is fried, especially in the morning for breakfast. Puris are deep fried and due to this, it will cause acidity and heart burn. This is one of the many unhealthy Indian breakfasts to avoid.

Of Course. Maggie
No doubt maggie is banned. But, there are still a few noodle companies which most of us entrust in every morning as it it quick and easy to prepare. These packaged breakfasts meals are not healthy as they contain no nutrition, only preservatives.

Cereal
Though we think cereals contain milk which is healthy for our bones and teeth, you are fooled. Cereals contain a lot of preservatives which form a thin coating on the lining of your stomach that aids in multiple stomach disorders.

Fried Eggs
Eggs added to your breakfast is a healthy choice. But, not when you fry your eggs with oil. Avoid fried eggs and opt for boiled ones.

Rice Idlis
Idlis are steamed so many think it is a healthy Indian breakfast. However, idlis are made out of rice which enables you to put on weight. Opt out of rice idlis and make ragi, oats and rava idlis an option.

Masala Dosa
Whoever told you dosas are healthy should be laughed at. Masala dosas are made entirely out of vegetable oil, and filled with one of the high calorie vegetable - aloo. Therefore, avoiding this unhealthy Indian breakfast is the best choice to make.
