9 Natural Ways To Reduce Vaginal Odour Women Must Try!
Make way for a healthier vagina, with these useful tips!

Imagine this, you are out on a romantic date with your man; there is candle light dinner, sensual music and everything is just perfect, so the mood is set and you get back home and get intimate with him.
And during foreplay, your man suddenly winces, maybe during oral sex and it feels like he has lost the mood to go on further!
When you ask him about it, he tells you that the foul odour from your vagina was very turning off!

Well, the above scenario can be highly embarrassing for any woman, right?
Vaginal odour is not only unhygienic and off putting during a sexual intercourse, but most important of all, it is also a sign of ill health!
Many a times, when a woman is affected by a chronic case of vaginal odour issue, then the odour can be felt by the person around her, even in a non-intimate setting, if the other person is at a close distance!
So, overall, this problem can be humiliating and can also further deteriorate the health of your vagina.
Vaginal odour can be caused due to yeast infections, bacterial growth, dryness, STDs and STIs, PMS (premenstrual syndrome), weather changes, cervical cancer, etc.
It is also important to identify the cause of your vaginal odour, by going to a professional and getting the right treatment if needed.
Now, when it comes to our health, most of us try to take good care of it, as we want to avoid diseases and ailments that could come in the way of having a hassle-free life, right?
For example, when we get flu, we immediately get it treated, we make efforts to manage our weight, we try to eat healthy to keep up our immunity, etc.
However, when it comes to vaginal health, many women tend to ignore it or never get it checked, because they could be embarrassed to talk to a professional about it, or even read about it.
But ignoring vaginal odour can lead to further complications, so here are a few ways to reduce vaginal odour naturally, which can be tried if the case is not too serious!

Tip #1:Wash And Wipe
Firstly, it is important to maintain the hygiene of your vaginal area, just like you do with the other parts of the body! Washing your vagina with warm water when you shower and even otherwise, at least twice or thrice a day and wiping it with a clean, soft cloth can reduce the sweat accumulated and thus get rid of the foul odour.

Tip #2: Avoid Personal Hygiene Products
Avoid using personal hygiene products like douches, vaginal sprays or perfumes and even soaps inside the vagina. These products promise to keep your vagina healthy and smelling fresh, but they contain harmful chemicals that reduce the pH levels of your vagina and cause dryness. Dryness can only worsen vaginal odour.

Tip #3: Change Your Inners Twice A Day
Ensure that you change your underwear everyday or even twice a day, if you think you have been sweating a lot. The sweat accumulated in the underwear can lead to the growth of yeast in the vagina, causing a foul odour to develop. Changing your underwear and washing your vagina after a walk or a workout is a must!

Tip #4: Avoid Silk, Lace, Polyester-made Underwear
Avoid wearing underwear made from material like silk, lace, leather, polyester, etc., if you are wearing them for a long time. Also, wearing thongs, tight panties and pants must be avoided. These materials and type of underwear can irritate the delicate tissues of your vagina, causing yeast growth, thus leading to bad odour.

Tip #5: Use Essential Oils Post Doctor's Advice
After consulting with your doctor, you can use natural essential oils like tea tree oil, which can restore the pH levels of your vagina and prevent dryness and foul odour. This oil is also anti-fungal in nature, so it can kill the odour-causing fungal growth.

Tip #6: Try ACV + Water Rinse
Using apple cider vinegar diluted in warm water can also help get rid of foul odour, as it reduces the infection-causing bacteria. You can also soak your vaginal area in a tub filled with diluted apple cider vinegar for about 20 minutes.

Tip #7: Have Natural Probiotics
Consume natural probiotics like curd, yoghurt, leafy greens, etc. Probiotics increase the growth of healthy bacteria in your vagina, which can kill the unhealthy microbes and maintain the natural pH levels of your vagina, thus treating foul odour.

Tip #8: Drink A Good Amount Of Water
Drink at least 2-3 litres of water every day and also consume organic cranberry juice, without any additives, on a daily basis. Water can keep your vagina well moisturised and cranberry juice can increase the production of healthy bacteria, so both of them can eliminate bad odour.

Tip #9: Avoid Consuming Excess Sugar
Avoid consuming excess sugar or sugary foods. Sugar can get into your blood stream and increase the production of unhealthy microbes in the vaginal area, leading to foul odour.
