If You Are Having Appendicitis Pain, Try These 8 Foods To Get Relief
Are you suffering from appendicitis? Try these 10 foods to get relief!
Appendicitis is an inflammation of the appendix which extends from the large intestine. Nobody knows what is the function of appendix, but we certainly know how painful appendicitis can be.
Appendix can eventually burst if left untreated, causing serious injury to the abdominal cavity in the form of peritonitis.
Symptoms of appendicitis include pain in the lower right side of the abdomen, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhoea, etc.
It is, therefore, very essential to consult a doctor for a proper diagnosis of the condition. However, one can include some foods as a side treatment to improve the condition.
Here are some top foods/remedies that are suitable in treating appendicitis:

Garlic:
Garlic is known for its anti-inflammation properties and calms down the pain. Eat raw garlic cloves on an empty stomach daily as well as use it in cooking.

Fibre:
Eat enough fibre to ease the constipation pain, which can worsen the inflammation of the appendix. Also, eating less fibre can increase the chances of appendicitis. Eat vegetables like beans, beetroots, carrots, broccoli, besides brown rice, sunflower seeds and fresh fruits.

Castor Oil:
It is very effective in treating appendicitis pain. It can help in reducing the blockage and calm the inflammation. Oral intake of castor oil also treats constipation. Prepare a castor oil pack by pouring two tablespoons of the oil into a large flannel cloth and put it on your abdomen.

Drink Enough Water:
The more water you drink, the better will you be able to treat your appendicitis pain. Water prevents constipation and also flushes out the toxins. Also, drink fruit juices and eat vegetables. Say a big no to alcohol.

Fenugreek Seeds:
These are also effective in treating appendicitis pain. They prevent gathering of intestinal waste and reduce the problem from worsening. Boil fenugreek seeds in water and have this mixture daily. You can also have these healthy seeds in your cooked dishes.

Mint:
Another great natural remedy to deal with appendicitis, mint cures intestinal gas besides vomiting and nausea. It also gives relief from pain caused by appendicitis. Drink mint tea with raw honey.

Ginger:
Ginger also helps in treating appendicitis, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking ginger tea two to three times in a day will help. You can also massage your lower abdomen with ginger oil for some time daily.

Lemon:
This citrus fruit gives great relief from indigestion and constipation and treats the pain. Vitamin C in this fruit also makes the immunity stronger to prevent further infections. Drink lemon juice mixed with raw honey.
