Simple Home Remedy For Instant Constipation Relief During Ramzan
Delicious haleem and kebabs, healthy dates, the sharing of festive spirit with friends and relatives, prayers - when you see this happening around, you know it is the holy month of Ramzan!
Ramzan is a festival celebrated for a month, in which people observe fasting, except for the consumption of two meals in a day.
The first meal of the day is had before dawn, known as the Suhoor, and the last meal is had after sunset, known as the Iftar.

Between the Suhoor and Iftar, people do not consume any food. Due to the sudden change in their dietary pattern, some people may tend to get digestive ailments during that month.
Gas, acidity, stomach pain, constipation, etc, are some of the common digestive ailments that are faced by a few people during Ramzan.

Also, because of the long gap between the two meals and dehydration, constipation occurs in many people during Ramzan.
Hence, stay well-hydrated and ensure that you take healthy foods infused with proteins and fibre during Iftar and Suhoor, to prevent digestive disorders.
You can also try this simple homemade drink that can be consumed for a quick relief from constipation, have a look.

Recipe To Prepare The Drink
Ingredients Required:
- Baking Soda - 1 tablespoon
- Lime juice - 2 teaspoons
- Hot Water - 1 glass full
The mixture of baking soda, lime juice and hot water works on your intestines to flush out the waste and toxins that are clogged in there, thereby helping you feel better from the constipation problem.
The hot water can dissolve the hardened faecal matter present in your intestines and make it more easier for you to pass stools.

Also, the combination of lime juice and baking soda can neutralise the acid levels in your stomach and reduce gas, acidity and also constipation.

Method To Prepare And Consume This Drink
- Heat some water in a pan, until it boils.
- Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 2 teaspoons of lime juice to the boiling water.
- Now, collect the heated mixture in a cup.
- Your drink is now ready for consumption.
- You can drink a glass of this health drink at Suhoor/Iftar to treat the constipation problem.
