Spot The 10 Signs Of Hormonal Imbalance In Women
Hormonal imbalance is a silent killer. It is one of the many problems women of today suffer from. When there is a hormonal imbalance in the body, the woman undergoes various moods swings and behaviour patterns that are hard to describe.
Women witness a great change in their 40s and 50s, but in some cases the change can been seen as early as their mid-30s and 20's too. The focal reason for this raging hormones is the lifestyle we lead.
Along with the new way of life it is also the imbalanced diet, pollution, toxins and xenoestrogens (synthetic chemicals that act as estrogen in our bodies) that we're exposed to every day. Looking after your lifestyle is important and following a nutritious diet is also necessary.
Today, Boldsky shares with you some of the noted and prominent signs of hormonal imbalance in women. Some of these signs occur very early in life and if treated at the right time with the exact medication, you can be saved from many more problems that are related to hormonal imbalance.
Read on to see if you have any of these symptoms:

Irregular Periods
There is no problem if your period is not on time, but it becomes a worry when you miss your period for months. If so, it is time to see a doctor.

Weight Gain
Hormonal imbalance interferes with the insulin levels and metabolism. This in turn affects the way your body processes foods and burns fat, thus aiding to more weight gain.

Excess Hair
Unwanted hair is not at all welcome. If you witness the body hair thickening over a period of time, it could be a sign of hormonal imbalance and it is also the first sign of PCOS.

Pimples
Pimples is a normal skin condition and is a problem for both men and women. However, if you are suffering from excess pimples at the jawline area then hormonal imbalance could be an underlying reason.

Low Libido
One of the other signs of hormonal imbalance you should not ignore is low libido. Low levels of the hormone estrogen can decrease your sex drive and this might be a problem in your love life.

Unexplained Hunger Cravings
The hormones ghrelin and leptin are responsible for stimulating and suppressing your appetite. Hormones are responsible for putting these two hormones of guard, thus making you want to eat more.

Constantly Tired
When the thyroid hormones don't function well they in turn affect the body's metabolism, which then lowers down the entire system, thus making you extremely tired and sluggish. On the other hand, due to this fatigue feeling, if the hormones are not checked in course of time it will gradually affect the entire nervous system.

Mood Swings
Mood swings go hand in hand when it comes close to your period date and this is a normal feeling. However, if you are having a constant hormonal imbalance then there has to be something wrong!

Hot Flashes
Hormonal imbalance, including low estrogen or progesterone production can cause frequent hot flashes and night sweats.

Memory Loss
The stress hormone cortisol plays havoc in one's life and over a period of time it interferes with your memory, thus making you undergo memory loss and concentration too. This hormone needs to be checked and reduced immediately.
