Symptoms And Cure For Dust Allergy
There is nothing more agonising and irritating than going through dust allergy. The symptoms can sometime lead to severe nasal congestion, difficulty sleeping or wheezing, shortness of breath worsening rapidly. Such times, it is best advised to consult a doctor immediately. Most symptoms of dust allergy are similar to common cold making it difficult to determine if it is due to dust allergy. Common symptoms of dust allergy include sneezing, runny nose, itchy, red or watery eyes, nasal congestion, itchy nose etc.
It important to have home remedies and simple self treatments handy when you are prone to dust allergy. Consulting a doctor, unless it is severe, is not advisable for common symptoms. As the symptoms are similar to common cold, simple way to determine dust allergy is to see if symptoms are persistent for more than a week. Sometimes dust allergy leads to asthma, bringning in lot of discomfort. Dust allergies occur when your immune system reacts to a foreign substance such as pollen, pet dander or dust mites.
The best strategy to avoid dust allergy is to reduce your exposure to dust. Large numbers of dust mites can gather in mattresses, bedding, and upholstered furniture. Start with keeping your home and living spaces clean and dust free. Make sure your work area is cleaned regularly and is dust free to a large extent. When you are out in open, try to wear a nasal mask or a cloth covering your nasal area to avoid breathing dust to large extent.
