Awareness Of Breast Cancer This Women's Day

The first step to Breast Cancer Awareness is to understand the disease better – Breast cancer starts in the breast tissues and are of two types -
1.Ductal Carcinoma – It starts in the tubes which is responsible to get the milk to the nipples.
2. Lobular Carcinoma – This happens on the lobules. It is that part of the breast which produces milk.
This Women's Day lets look at some of the simple ways to prevent Breast Cancer -
1.The first step is to prevent oneself from being over weight. Obesity after menopause is one of the basic reason of this cancer. Thus, aim should be maintain a body mass index of below 25.
2.The next step to prevent breast cancer is to have a good diet. Diet which has enough amount of vegetables, fruits and less of sugary drinks and fatty food is a healthy diet. Choose vegetable oil in place of animal fat. Protein intake should be increased and consumption of red meat should be reduced.
3.One of the most important ways to prevent breast cancer is to breast feed the baby. In the present generation most women avoid breast feeding as they assume it will harm their figure but it is important to understand that avoiding breast feeding may grow up to be a reason for cancer. Researches have proved that women who practice breast feeding are at lower risk of the cancer.
4.Include fish in your diet. Fish are rich in Omega Fatty acids and also are a rich source of Vitamin D which has anti-cancer properties.
5.Low fat diet like yogurt, cottage cheese and low fat milk also have anti-cancer properties.
Follow these five steps to prevent Breast Cancer and help us in our attempt to spread Breast Cancer Awareness this Women's Day.
