Some of these are paroxetine (Paxil), fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem), sertraline (Zoloft) and bupropion (Wellbutrin). These drugs may not affect the mental emotions immediately. The patients is advised to continue the medication for several days to tackle the disorder
The recent research by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), states that certain anti psychotic drugs may increase the risk of diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure. Therefore, make sure to ask the doctor to regularly monitor you if you are taking Risperdal, Seroquel and Zyprexa for bipolar disorder.
