They Drink Green Tea
Green tea is rich in antioxidants. It not only slows down the ageing process by combating free radicals, it also helps in weight loss. It lowers the risk of cancer and heart disease too. Japanese are said to have at least 1-2 cups of green tea on a daily basis.

They Love Sea Food
More than chicken, mutton or beef, they prefer sea food. Actually, red meat is linked to inflammatory issues, cholesterol issues and even obesity. But they eat more of salmon, tuna and shrimp. Fish is a good source for protein and omega 3 fatty acids.

They Eat Healthy Fermented Foods
Kimchi, tempeh, miso, sauerkraut, kombucha and kefir are some of the fermented foods that Japanese love. Fermented foods have beneficial enzymes, vitamins and even probiotics. They promote healthy intestinal bacteria.

They Walk A Lot
A study reveals that the average Japanese walks regularly. Walking can reduce stress and help you stay slim.

Both men and women in Japan practice martial arts like judo, Karate and Akido. That is the reason why their fitness levels, strength, flexibility and endurance are awesome. And yes, they never seem to age due to all of the above factors!

They Eat Small Portions
Japanese are said to maintain small portion size. This means the quantity of food they eat is less. So, their daily caloric intake is comparatively less and therefore, weight management is easy.

They Meditate
Meditation is a part of their lives. All men, women, young and the old meditate. Meditation kills stress. And when stress is removed from your life, your life span increases. This seems to be a secret of the Japanese!
