1. Diabetes In Family:
If you have diabetes running in your family, you can suffer from type 2 diabetes. Most of the time it is hereditary.

2. Weight:
Watch your weight. The more fat you have around your waist, the higher the chances are there for you to suffer from type 2 diabetes.

3. Sedentary Lifestyle:
A sedentary lifestyle with no movement at all can increase your chances of suffering from diabetes. Muscle movement is essential to prevent type 2 diabetes from occurring.

4. Races:
Certain races are more prone to suffer from type 2 diabetes: Asians, Native Americans, Hispanics, Hawaiians and blacks have an increased risk of developing diabetes.

5. Age:
People who are above forty five years of age are more prone to suffer from diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes.

6. Pregnant Women:
Women who are pregnant sometimes suffer from gestational diabetes. Ninety five percent of the time this is cured on its own once the child is born. Research has proved that women who give birth to a baby whose weight is much above the average weight of babies is more prone to suffer from diabetes later in life.

7. Hypothyroidism:
People who suffer from hypothyroidism and have gluten intolerance have higher chances of suffering from type 2 diabetes.

8. PCOS:
Women who suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome have a high chance of suffering from type 2 diabetes.

9. Stroke:
If you are a person who has suffered from strokes, then you must be careful as you have high chances of suffering from type 2 diabetes.

10. Sleep:
Be careful of your sleeping habits. People who do not have proper sleeping habits are more prone to suffer from type 2 diabetes.
