How Diabetes Affects Your Body
An increase in blood glucose levels hint at the beginning of a relationship with diabetes. Nobody wants it but sometimes because of hereditary, genetic or irregular habits, diabetes becomes a part of your life. Now that you have diabetes, it is time to find out what to do about it?
Before you can move to fight diabetes, you need to understand what all happens when you have a face off with diabetes. When you have diabetes, the body is just unable to use all the energy the food provides. In fact, digesting food also becomes a major problem for some of you. This whole issue erupts due to the imbalance caused in the levels of insulin produced by the pancreas in your body. Insulin, the soul of your blood sugar level, can attack you back in the form of diabetes, which can lead to changes in your body.
EATING HABITS THAT CAUSE DIABETES
Diabetes are of two types: Type 1 which is mild and Type 2 which is a pretty chronic state of this disease. In Type 1 you generally face insulin deficiency as the body begins producing lower levels of insulin while in Type 2 your body cells are unable to use the insulin produced productively. With time, the body begins to go low on energy. So how does one's body change with diabetes? Here are some body changes diabetics are prone to.
A diabetic patient needs to be aware of all the physical changes that can happen with the disease, and take precautions to stay safe.

Teeth & Gum Issues
The risk of teeth and gum problems increases when you are suffering from diabetes. Your body is more vulnerable to bacterial and fungal infection when you are suffering from diabetes. You may experience bleeding in gums, tenderness in your gums or other severe gum issues when suffering from diabetes. Dry mouth or delayed healing after dental care can be possible issues associated with diabetes. Some diabetics may even need to undergo dental surgery to care for their gums and teeth.

Eye Problems
Vision changes and eye problems are other issues that accompanies diabetes. It's possible that the blood vessels in your eye are damaged due to which you can have a series of eye issue ranging from cataract to retinopathy to glaucoma. If you see the symptoms of any of them, you should go ahead and contact your doctor.

Skin Issues
This is another physical change among diabetics. You will find that diabetes will affect your body skin too. Nervous system is affected heavily by diabetes which can produce dry skin. You will find that burns and cuts are not easily healed when you are suffering from diabetes. You may even have fungal or bacterial infections in your foot. These are some of the physical changes that come with diabetes one needs to adjust to.

Leads To Indigestion
If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, your body may not be able to produce enough insulin necessary for digestion and perfect working of the digestive system. In fact, in some cases due to nerve damage, you will experience nausea which can be harmful too. This nausea can lead to diarrhoea and other problems related to the digestive system.

Effects On Nerves
Diabetes can affect your nerves and bring in some serious changes. You will find the nerves in the feet or hands becoming numb. You could even have a tingling feeling in the nerves along your hands and feet. The nerves in your clitoris and penis will not be able to induce arousal. You will sweat excessively. These are some signs that may indicate damaged nerves during diabetes.
