College/Office Calls For Onam? Still Deciding What To Wear For Onam Tomorrow?
Onam is a festival of 'joy and harmony' celebrated in Kerala. It is the state festival of Kerala and is celebrated during the 'Chingam' (Aug-Sep) month of Malayalam calendar. This is basically a rice harvest festival, similar to Sankranti, Baisakhi, Bihu et cetera. Onam is marked in the name of Lord Vishnu (Hindu God), and the subsequent home coming of the mythical king 'Mahabali'; who Malayalees consider as their king.
The festival is celebrated with a lot of passion and style, especially by women. The best part of Onam dress, or Kerala Traditional Dress is that it is not at all loud and heavy with extravagant colours. The Kerala Saree is mostly white in colour, with a golden zari border. If the garment or Saree is made of cotton, it is mostly bordered with red/green linings, but golden border is classic. Men usually wear a drape or a 'Veshti/' (local name), which is also white in colour with same golden/red border on the sides, as found on the women's attire.

"Being in style is what we want this Onam". Onam is tomorrow i.e, 28th August 2015, and you don't have much time to prepare. College/Office has called for an Onam celebration? And you don't know how to sizzle yourself in a Kerala Saree? We shall assist you with it.
Just go to your nearest Saree centre and grab a Kerala Saree, the one with a 'golden border' looks the best as it is classy and vintage. If you live in South India (any state) it would not be a problem for you to get a Kerala Saree.

Dazzle your 'charm' and 'persona' with the Kerala Saree accompanied with a red, green, or a blue blouse. If the border of your Saree is golden, red, green then wear white, red and green blouses respectively with the relevant borders on it.

The vital factor of Onam attire is its simplicity and ethnicity. So, now you would be thinking about the 'jewelries'. What jewelry would match with the attire? Any idea? No? Well, the jewelry also needs to be plain and simple. As the dress portrays simplicity, the jewelry should be subtle and catchy. Don yourself with a light 'gold pendant' or a chain; make sure it is not too heavy like a necklace. 'Bangles' are a must for this attire. Choose matching bangles, make sure not to use too much of gold. Wear 'glass bangles' of red, green, blue and two golden bracelets would suffice.

Coming on to the 'make-up', it needs to be kept simple too. A 'bindi', some 'kajal' with 'smoky eyes' would look super hot and sexy with the attire. Paint your lips with a subtle 'velvet red lipstick' to give it a complete look. If you don't want red, you can go for light pink lipstick or may be just keep it plain.
"This Onam be stylish and glamorous, in the same old classy and traditional way".
