Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015: KaashiToKyoto By Shruti Sancheti
KaashiToKyoto is a fancy name for a collection, don't you agree? Designer Shruti Sancheti displayed her new line on day 2 at LFW A/W 2015 in the most spectacular form. Shruti takes inspiration from the spiritual centres of India and Japan i.e. Kaashi and Kyoto.
Most of the designs seen on the ramp are hailed from the Japanese and Buddhist influence seen on the Ghats of Benares. On the ramp you see these stunning models dressed in ancient Banarasi weaving in a contemporary style. While most of them are styled in shades of silver, yellow gold and rose gold, pay focus on the minimalist thread worked flora and fauna motifs.
Designer Shruti Sancheti also gives you a new way of wearing that awesome and comfortable pair of pants. As you take a look at the slides keep your eyes glued on to the midis, long shirt dresses, capes and jackets teamed with ghagras, wide pleated pants and kimono tops which are crafted from brocades.
KEEP UPDATED WITH LFW A/W 2015
The fabrics which are used in the making of these collections are: gicha silk, Bengal dupion and chanderi-with surface ornamentation like dori, resham, Boro embroidery from Japan and gold printing.
So, what are you waiting for, take a look at the stunning KaashiToKyoto collection by Shruti Sancheti on day 2 at LFW A/W 2015:

Tassel Earrings
This is one of the most fabulous pairs of earrings we have seen so far on the ramp at LFW A/W 2015. The tassel earrings are mind-blowing and adds a better look to the open wide neckline.

Umbrella Sleeves
The crop top worn on the model features umbrella sleeves with major cut-outs. She also wear the same coloured leggings to which she pairs a golden detailed see through sheer flared skirt.

Train Kaftans
Shruti displayed some of the best looking kaftans on the ramp. This coat kaftan had a small train to it and a tie up at the waist. The colour of the attire is gorgeous.

Shades Of Orange
This orange and gold combination of colours is totally worth a second look. We are impressed with the KaashiToKyoto collection at LFW A/W 2015.

Lehengas & More
This cream coloured silk lehenga features a thin golden border. What draws us in is the front opening choli pattern which is teamed with a sleeveless dupatta coat in a striking shade.

Black Beauty
This is another attire we fell in love with in the KaashiToKyoto collection. The black pleated gown is teamed with a printed gold coat with a belt that settles to a big black bow at the navel.

Overcoats In Abundance
Overcoats were seen in abundance on the ramp at LFW A/W 2015. The blue printed coat over the golden silk dress is wonderfully paired. We also love the cut out of the crop top coat over the capris.

Peplum Tops & Golden Bomber
The rich peplum red top seems to be the highlight on the ramp. Likewise, even the dazzling golden bomber jacket paired with the red printed skirt is splendid.

Palazzo's Are In
The assymetrical cream top looks lovely as it is paired perfectly with an A line skirt. On the other hand, palazzos are back in fashion, grab your pair today.

Bikini Tops & Straight Pants
The model is seen wearing a bikini sweetheart crop top along with a printed high waisted tan pant. She overpowers her look with a sheer umbrella coat. The model on the right wears a one button tummy coat which looks lovely with a navy blue skirt.

Touch Of Tokyo
Look at these models, it is a fusion between fashion overseas and the Indian attire of the lehenga.

The Proud Designer
Shruti Sancheti greeted the people in the audience with a warm welcome.
