AIFW Day 2: Pratima Pandey And Rasa Jaipur Drape Their Models In An Earthy Palette

Day 1 was filled with much music, art and fashion at the Amazon India Fashion Week 2016 and day 2 has nothing less to offer. Rasa Jaipur set the mood for the rest of the events followed by Pratima Pandey's lovey dresses. Both these designers know the Indian woman well and have sculpted their collection around that idea.

They presented their collection of decadent Indian clothes inspired by the earth, air and water that surrounds us in the beautiful land. The colour palette is very earthy and neutral, suiting a number of Indian skin tones. We loved watching those sublime models owning the runway in Pandey's and Rasa's designs and we must admit we are very impressed.

This creamy white kurta top and palazzo pant combo is unreal. We love the sheer fabric with delicate embroidery adorning the bust and the neck area.

This classy piece is very feminine and soft. We love how the red embroidered rosettes and leaves create drama, drawing attention to the shoulders and neck.

This peasant style dress is perfect for any girl who enjoys a girlie feel to her wardrobe. Pandey has ensured the midi length of the dress has layers that add to the charm.

This white outfit is one of our favourites, the cut open bits in the top allow for a playful look. The intricate embroidery along the neckline and the front of the dress gives the separates a lovely, desi look.

This sheer lehenga is a floral dream. With a patterned skirt and a white drape, this outfit is gorgeous for weddings and dinners.

Trust Pratima Pandey to create the most feminine dresses and she delivers! This high waist skirt paired with a floral crop top is the best way to dress this season.

Floral prints can really amp up the lehenga look, right? This lehenga is very delicate with a myriad of colours and patterns.

The high point of the show is the usage of dabka, ari and Parsi embroidery as decoration and combination of various material techniques to create a spectacle on chanderi in simple cuts.

Rasa Jaipur's wearable clothing created magic on the runway.

The USP of the show was the print work embossed on the clothes that were primarily made in fabrics like crepe, Georgette and chiffon.

Some of the pieces that grabbed eyeballs were Peshawar top, Ellora top, Lido maxi dress, Chandra jacket and the Rio dress.
