Bold And Edgy Ragini Ahuja For Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer '16
Ragini Ahuja isn't pretty and we can clearly see it from the sets of her designs. She adores the use of edgy and rough cut-outs, draped with a feminine angle. She made her debut in the fashion world with her designer collection at the renowned Lakme Fashion Week in the year 2013.
Ragini also own the popular brand Ikai, known for merging the two aspects of styles. She has well weaved the Indian designs with the contemporary demands. As far as her signature style is concerned, she is very much into structure cut-outs, androgynous clothing, boxy designs and delicate drapes. You can see the impression of the anti-fit silhouette in her outfits. Like many other contemporary designers, she plays with the neutral palette of hues, majorly using grey, brown and navy.
This time, however, Ragini, has gone both pretty and edgy. The delicate use of fabric and finished cut-outs is indeed a great skill to put together in one. And Ragini has used this blessing very well.
Ragini is known to take inspiration from Japanese motif in many of her designs. However, she never goes too delicate. In this ensemble, she has facsimile the Japanese kimono. The classy satin and the motifs at the hem are quaint. The button strip is paid attention to. Also, the hint of yellow pants beneath the kimono is very neat.

Denims redefined in the intricate designs of Ragini. What a great use of denim! The gentle lace at the waist and broad pants are very thoughtful. Also, the floral design on the right part of a denim is pretty edgy.

A very classy work by Ragini. The brown leather tube-top and the satin overcoat are well put together. He thought of putting a long skirt with a satin and leather is very unconventional.

Again well-played with the mix and match of denims and Japanese motifs. The long denim dress sparkles the neatly put yellow and blue flowers.

Wow! Our first reaction on the incredible use of leather with flirtatious stripes. This well-kept ensemble is must-take-on-vacation outfit.
