Bollywood's versatile actor Randeep Hooda and model Lin Laishram are man and wife now! The couple got married at Chumthang Sanapung situated at Langthabal, Imphal on November 29, 2023. The couple exchanged vows as per traditional Meitei customs in the presence of their family and close relations.
The Inspector Avinash movie actor shared heartwarming images from his big day on Instagram and captioned it as - 'From today, we are One'! Randeep and Lin's quintessential Manipuri wedding look won the hearts of everyone!!

The Highway movie actor donned a white traditional Manipuri attire that comprised a pristine white kurti with minimal threadwork embroidery, matching dhoti, and a plain white scarf-like cloth as an overlayer. Randeep elevated the simplistic groom avatar with a white pagdi or saafa with golden border detailing. The white colour tika on his forehead marked the traditional Meitei customs for the auspicious ceremony!

Randeep Hooda's pretty bride Lin Laishram looked beautiful in a traditional Manipuri bridal ensemble. She opted for Potloi or Polloi which is a cylindrical skirt that is made with eco-conscious fabric material and is supported with bamboo sticks. She chose the simple yet strikingly beautiful bridal outfit that comprised a dark green velvet blouse with golden threadwork in lattice style and matched it with a red colour Polloi skirt further accentuated with a beige colour sheer dupatta.

The bride elevated her beautiful outfit with traditional Manipuri-style golden jewellery. Lin opted for a layered golden neckpiece, drop earrings, haath panja with golden bangles, kada bracelets, finger rings, and a statement golden maathapatti with flower adornment.
Her matte makeup comprised a neutral base, contoured cheeks, statement eyes with winged liner, highlighted eyebrows, and bold red lips. She styled her tresses in a centre parted half-tied, half-open simple hairdo.
Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram's wedding look is a fine representation of - being rooted in your traditions and customs. The newly wedded couple shared the finest style inspiration of "simple equals fabulous"!

Know More About Traditional Manipuri Wedding Look
The traditional Manipuri wedding attire consists of vibrant colours and unique designs. In Manipur, a state in Northeast India, weddings are a symbol of cultural events, and the attire worn by the bride and groom reflects the rich cultural heritage of the region!
For Manipuri brides, the traditional wedding ensemble is called 'Potloi.' The Potloi is a heavily embroidered and ornamented skirt, typically chosen in bright red or a combination of red and green. The blouse worn with the Potloi is also intricately designed with golden threadwork detailing. The outfit is often accentuated and accessorized with traditional golden jewellery, including a headpiece, necklace, earrings, and bangles.
The groom typically wears a traditional white or off-white attire known as 'Kurta-Pyjama' with a unique Manipuri scarf called 'Pheijom' draped over the shoulder. The Manipuri wedding outfit defines the cultural identity and traditions of the region and makes the auspicious wedding ceremony a visually stunning and culturally rich event!
