Continue reading to get the insightful details of Mongolia's designer ensembles for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ethnic-Contemporary Blend
The designs, created by Ulaanbaatar-based label Michel&Amazonka, capture the spirit of Mongolian customs and traditions in a modern setting. Through a series of glossy images and a film shoot that resembled a high-end fashion campaign, the label unveiled its designs. The traditional Mongolian boots, belts, and archery helmets are worn by the male flag-bearers, while the female athletes accessorize their attire with statement earrings and embroidered purses.
The uniforms have received a lot of attention on social media, especially TikTok. Style journalist Ryan Yip declared in a video that has received over two million views that "they just won the Olympics before it even started," among other fashion and sports experts applauding the outfits. The resoundingly positive reaction demonstrates how much the world values Michel&Amazonka's inventive work and Mongolia's ability to represent its culture.

Attention To Detailing
The outfits feature a variety of traditional patterns and motifs in addition to the national colours of Mongolia-blue, red, and white. One of these is the "Soyombo" symbol, which is seen prominently on the national flag of the nation. Intricately woven within the designs are symbols linked to both Paris and the Olympic Games, like the Olympic flame and the Eiffel Tower.
The Mongolian National Olympic Committee states that it took an average of 20 hours to create each outfit, demonstrating the skill and attention to detail that went into their design. The end product is a stunning blend of modern fashion with cultural heritage that has captured the attention of viewers all across the world.

Creativity At Its Finest
Established by talented sisters Michel and Amazonka Choigaalaa, Michel&Amazonka previously created the Mongolian team's Olympic costumes for the Summer Olympics in Tokyo 2020 and the Winter Olympics in Beijing 2022. Their continuous participation demonstrates their dedication to honouring and maintaining Mongolian history on a global scale. Mongolia won one silver and three bronze medals at the Tokyo Olympics, which is a noteworthy accomplishment for the country.
Since 1964, Mongolia has competed in every Summer Olympics save one. At the Beijing 2008 Games, the country won its first and only gold medals in boxing and judo. More than thirty athletes from the nation will compete in the July 26-27 Olympics in Paris this year. Athletes from Mongolia will compete in nine sports, such as wrestling, cycling, and shooting.
Mongolia's uniforms serve as a tribute to the strength of its cultural legacy and the artistry of fashion as the globe excitedly awaits the opening of the Paris 2024 Olympics. In addition to honouring Mongolia's rich customs, Michel&Amazonka's designs revolutionized Olympic dress, enchanting viewers and fashion pundits!
