Paris 2024 Olympics: 8 Best Team Costumes Where Heritage Meets High Fashion
Apart from contending for gold medals, athletes are making major fashion statements at the Olympic opening ceremony! Olympic teams' outfits are usually designed to visually represent the national identity of each participating nation.
This has developed into a partnership between national teams and designers throughout time, producing clothing that is a fusion of culture and couture. Athletes and well-known designers collaborate to produce outfits that reflect the nation's history, current fashion trends, and the comfort of the athletes!

Here are a few notable teams from the most recent Olympic Games that killed it when it came to fashion.

Team Mongolia
With their traditional Mongolian attire, known as a deel, Team Mongolia deserves the honour of an Olympic fashion award. This outfit is exquisitely detailed, well-maintained, understated, and very elegant. The deel, with its elaborate design and rich history, embodies Mongolian culture in a contemporary, fashionable manner. Mongolia's uniform stands out owning to how the designers skillfully combined heritage with modern flair.

Team Haiti
This uniform is not just a significant expression of Haitian culture but also represents high fashion. Renowned Haitian painter Philippe Dodard created the artwork for Haiti's uniforms. The intricate patterns are colourful and evocative of Haiti's rich creative past.
Haitian uniforms are wearable works of art rather than just clothes. The artist and designer worked together to create a uniform that was both striking and culturally relevant.

Team Czech Republic
Simply stylish! According to designer Jan Cery, the Czech Republic's Olympic uniform was inspired by Czech painter and artist Vladimir Boudnik. These outfits are fashionable, historical, and deserving of the runway on all counts. The design's fusion of the past and present honours the artist while highlighting the Czech Republic's dedication to high fashion.

Team Taiwan
This appears to be a campaign for a high-end fashion brand at first, but it's Team Taiwan's Olympic uniform! These clothes are visually arresting and make a big impression at the opening ceremony. These uniforms are couture-level elegant because of their elegant lines and smart design. The way Team Taiwan approaches their clothes demonstrates that sportswear can be both stylish and practical.

Team France
Team France looked amazing in their elegant navy suits, exuding a refined and opulent aura. This is an excellent example of how simple can still look beautiful, and it was such a fun way to dress up a basic uniform. The French uniforms are a strong contender in the fashion stakes because of their understated yet effective design aspects.

Team Philippines
Francis Libiran, a Filipino fashion designer, created a stunning barong called "Sinag." It is indeed the chicest approach to turn heads at the Olympic Games with this exquisite and intricate attire. The exquisite pattern and elaborate needlework pay homage to the rich cultural legacy of the Philippines while making a strong statement on a global scale.

Team Türkiye
It is amazing when 'sports meet style' meets the Olympics! Incorporating light blue to symbolize peace, Team Türkiye and designer Vakko employed the colours found on the flag. This deliberate use of colour uses fashion to convey a strong message. Türkiye's uniforms are unique because they combine modern and traditional design features.

Team Australia
It's amazing to see Team Australia's outfits that cleverly introduce gradient colours. Australian national colours are used in these stunning artworks with amazing gradients to depict a sunset. Australia's vibrant culture and breathtaking scenery are encapsulated in the gradient effect, which has deep symbolic meaning.
