London Fashion Week SS25: Statement Accessories To Nostalgia, 5 Trends That Will Rule The Season
The return of London Fashion Week will see designers taking up the runways with their innovative interpretations of Spring/Summer 2025 over the next few days.

Here are 5 key themes to watch out for to keep yourself fashion-upgraded!

Pre-Loved Clothes
Although sustainability has always been a prominent theme at fashion weeks, this season it takes the spotlight as used and upcycled clothing becomes even more popular. With its "Style for Change" runway show, Oxfam is kicking off London Fashion Week. The exhibition will feature collections made from recycled materials, zero-waste designs, and pre-owned fabrics.
eBay's "Endless Runway," where customers can purchase carefully chosen pre-owned pieces from designers including Simone Rocha Christopher Kane, Off-White And Khaite echoes this emphasis on sustainable fashion. The collection, according to eBay's pre-loved style director Amy Bannerman, is intended to "blend vintage treasures with cutting-edge styles," demonstrating how classic fashion can be reinterpreted in creative, environmentally responsible ways.

Nostalgia
Fashion with a touch of nostalgia is always in this year's London Fashion Week, which promises to bring back many fond memories. Designer Dame Zandra Rhodes is famous for drawing inspiration from the hedonistic, colourful, and bohemian-chic 1970s. "Printed chiffon, large statement prints, and floaty shapes," suggesting a carefree and fun mood, are what Rhodes promises to deliver at LFW SS 25!
With Ukrainian designer Andreas Moskin taking cues from a nostalgic era, boho will continue to rule the fashion scene. What's more? The iconic T-bar shoe is making a comeback thanks to shoe shoemaker Souliers, which draws on people's memories of school days and summer vacations!

Statement Accessories
This season, accessories will be huge! Jewellery, purses, and shoes are essential to complete the outfit and designers never rule out the importance of the same. Practical and fashionable shoulder bags have taken centre stage on the catwalks, with Coach setting the standard with their large, slouchy designs. With his Croissant Handbag, edgy accessories designer Nikolas Bentel played with the trend by fusing food and fashion in a creative collab with Lidl.
Bentel is adored for his "narrative accessories," which go beyond the usual norm and enable the wearer to showcase personal narratives or cultural heritage. This season, chunky jewellery with vividly coloured gemstones like rubies, sapphires, and emeralds will be adding to the self-expression!

Bold Hues
Spring Summer 2025 will have bold, loud colours dominate the ensemble and makeup looks. Designers are going bold and putting together eye-catching, imaginative, and amusing head-to-toe ensembles. This season is all about using colour to make a statement, whether it be through fiery reds, electric blues, spicy tangerines or neon hues.
Bold lips, creative eye makeup, and unusual colour combinations that flawlessly match the clothes on the runway will be in style for the foreseeable future. Vibrant tones are increasingly associated with the freedom of fashion, where colour is utilized to showcase happiness and vibrancy!

Maximalist Patterns
Look out for maximalist patterns that demand attention as forecasted by the fashion gurus. Celebrated designers including Sanyukta Shrestha are experimenting with unusual colour combinations and eye-catching patterns. Pick something in geometric shapes, hand-drawn patterns, abstract prints, and designs with surrealist influences.
This year's London Fashion Week is keeping up its reputation for avant-garde style. These striking prints, which make clothes feel like walking works of art, are influenced by traditional themes, contemporary art, and even cultural narratives!
