Naga Chaitanya's Understated Elegance

Naga Chaitanya made the symbolic decision to wear the traditional madhuparkham outfit, which represents simplicity and purity in Telugu culture, in order to honour his ancestry. A pure white pancha (dhoti) with a vivid red border was part of his ensemble. The move reflected the enduring customs of his family and was a sincere homage to his legendary grandpa, Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

To symbolize their union under heavenly blessings, the bride and groom both wore basikams, which are threads tied on their foreheads. Traditionally, kaala tikas were put on their cheeks to ward off nazar, or evil eye.
