Catch of the Day : How This Young Indian Influencer’s Outfits Will Leave You Hooked
In the world of social media, trends are born out of bold moves, and when it comes to fashion, quirkiness is ruling the scene. Influencers are constantly pushing boundaries to grab attention, whether it's on TikTok or Instagram. If you think Urfi Javed's fashion is quirky, wait until you meet TikToker Tharun, whose 'fishy' style is literally making waves.
A 'Fishy' Fashion Sense
TikToker Tharun, originally known as Nenavath Tharun, has wowed netizens with his latest Insta reel where he dubsmashes a scene from the movie 'Bommarillu'. But the real spotlight is on his costume, where he's not dressed from head to toe, but from his ears to his hands, with a string of fishes.
Tharun has used two small fishes as earrings, a string of them as a necklace, and a big fish as a handbag. To top it off, he's wearing a sleeveless frock made entirely of fishes that are stitched together.
He captioned it as "Latest Fashion," and the video went viral the moment it was uploaded. Many netizens were quick to share encouraging comments like "Hard work never fails, bro" and dubbed him "Kingfisher." Others playfully wondered if he was going to fry his accessories just like the way he wore them.
Materialistic Fashion
This isn't the first time Tharun has stunned social media with his quirky fashion. He's previously donned outfits made from pens, straws, groundnuts, paper plates, ladies finger (okra), teacups, white paper, cotton, iron bed, tamarind, slippers, an iron table, kite, chair, plastic jug, spoon, a black cover and what not!
The Video That Floored People
One of his most popular videos that he had uploaded earlier this year on February 26th, had already garnered over 351,000 views, 13,000 likes and countless comments. In this video, he begins by holding a large mat, unfurling it before the camera.
With a flick of the wrist, he wraps the mat around his body, transforming it into an unconventional yet stylish outfit. Channeling his inner showstopper, Tharun strutted around like he was walking the catwalk on the runway, showcasing his mat-inspired creations like a sweetheart neckline dress and a chic wrap gown, all crafted from a humble mat.
That fashion experiment sparked a flurry of reactions in the comments section. While some were genuinely impressed by his unique take on designer wear, others weren't so kind.
Many fans couldn't help but applaud his creativity, with one person joking, "World famous fashion designer bro, nuvvu great" Others showed support, with comments like, "Well done, bro," and "Hats off, ur dedication superb!" Another user added, "Love the creativity."
But not everyone was as kind. Some couldn't resist poking fun at the concept, with one cheekily saying, "Balenciaga models are crying in a corner," while another remarked, "Effects of watching fashion channel."
There's a thin line between thinking outside the box and going overboard, but Tharun manages to nail it with his smile and confidence. He designs his own unique outfits and strikes poses with an unshakable attitude. It might look plain crazy, but it's also pretty innovative. We can't wait to see what his next reel will contribute to the ever-evolving world of quirky fashion.
