Aloo and matar are undoubtedly a heavenly combo. It is one of the most easiest Indian dishes to cook. While you relish on the softness of aloo, matar gives a treat to your taste buds. Aloo matar dry can be prepared with minimal hassles. While the aloo matar gravy is prepared in homes commonly, the fry version is not experimented much.

Aloo matar dry and rotis are perfect for a health conscious person, and can suits the lunch as well as dinner menu. The best part is, recipe for aloo matar is easy and it's cooking time will not exceed more than 20 minutes! Just follow these steps, and you will know how to make yummy aloo matar fry.

Ingredients
Boiled
Potatoes-
4
(Medium
sized)
Green
Peas:
100
gms
Green
Chillies:
5-6
(chopped)
Turmeric
Powder:
2
tsp
Oil:
4
tbsp
Salt:
As
per
taste

Procedure:
1.
Peel
the
potatoes
and
chop
them
into
fine
pieces.
2.
Boil
them
in
a
pressure
cooker
till
you
hear
three-
four
whistles.
(It
is
always
best
if
you
cut
them
and
boil
because
it
gets
boiled
fast).

3.
Once
you
take
the
potatoes
out
from
the
pressure
cooker,
soak
them
in
cold
water
for
two
minutes.
4.
Heat
the
pan
and
add
4
tbsp
of
oil
into
it,
and
wait
till
the
oil
gets
heated.
5.
On
the
other
hand,
chop
the
green
chillies
into
fine
slices.
6.
Once
the
oil
is
heated,
add
the
potatoes,
green
peas
and
green
chillies
into
it.
7.
Add
2
tsp
turmeric
powder
and
salt
into
the
pan.

8.
Mix
all
the
ingredients
in
the
pan,
and
saute
till
the
potatoes
become
golden
brown.
9.
Close
the
pan
with
a
lid
so
that
you
can
save
on
the
cooking
time.
10.
Keep
it
in
the
pan
under
medium
heat
for
at
least
for
5
minutes,
and
make
sure
that
you
keep
sauting
the
mixture
every
two
minutes
so
that
it
does
not
stick
to
the
pan.
This aloo matar recipe is simple, and can be served along with rotis, rice and pooris. If you want to make a gravy out of this, add 2 tbsp chilli powder and one and half cups of water into the cooking pan. Let the mixture cook for 10 minutes, and your aloo matar gravy is ready!
