5 Easy Ways To Make Homemade Butter
What are your breads, hot dosas and rotis without fresh “Makkan"?. Know how make butter in your very home as it is healthy and even more tastier than of the packaged ones. Butter (makkan) is prepared by churning fresh or fermented cream. It is mainly used in the Indian foods as it adds more flavor to the food. So heres' the procedure on how you can make the tasty homemade butter.
Steps To Make Homemade Butter -
1. To obtain cream from milk. Heat milk and cool it to room temperature. A thin layer of fat forms at the top of the milk as the milk cools.
2. Store the cream in an air tight container in the refrigerator.
3. Do that everyday till the container is full and use a blender, food processor, a manual or a hand held churner to make the butter from cream. It is better to use an electric device as it saves energy and time.
4. After you blend the fresh cream. Leave the mixture in the jar for the butter to settle on top. Collect the butter and store it in a refrigerator. Freeze the butter and start using it once it is hard.
5. Or if you do not have patience to collect cream from the milk everyday, you can also buy fresh cream from a supermarket and make butter at home following the same procedure.
It is always best to make homemade butter as it is fresh, unadulterated, smells good and very delicious! You can even make ghee with the butter.
