Side Dish: Fried Green Chillies Recipe

Serves: 9-10 chillies
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Green Chillies- 8-10
  • Besan (Bengal Gram)- 3tbsp
  • Coriander powder- 2tbsp
  • Red chilli powder- 1tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds- 1tsp
  • Amchur- 1tsp
  • Lemon juice- 1tsp
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Oil- 1tbsp

Procdeure

  • Wash the green chillies. Slit them for stuffing the masala. Keep the slit green chillies aside.
  • In a bowl prepare the stuffing masala for the fried green chillies recipe. Mix besan, coriander powder, red chilli powder, amchur, salt and lemon juice together with a spoon.
  • Now stuff the slit green chillies with the masala. Do not over stuff or else the green chillies will tear off. If the masala is remaining, keep it aside. It will be used while frying.
  • Heat oil in a frying pan. When it starts steaming, season with cumin seeds.
  • Slowly add the stuffed green chillies and fry them on a low flame till they turn crisp and look cooked.
  • Add the remaining stuffing masala and mix well. Cook for another minute and turn off the flame.

The fried green chillies recipe is very simple. You can store these tangy and spicy fried green chillies and eat as a side dish with your meal.
