Cholar Dal

Ingredients:
250gms Channa Dal (Bengal Gram)
3 - 4 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Jeera(Cumin Seeds)
"' tbsp Grated Ginger
4 - 5 Tejpatta(Bay leaf)
4 Chopped Green Chilies
"' cup Grated Coconut
"' tbsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Sugar
A pinch of Asafoetida

Method:
Boil the Dal till tender.

Heat Oil in a pan and add Cumin, Bay leaf, Ginger, Chilies, Coconut, Salt, Sugar and Turmeric and fry for sometime.

Pour in the Dal. Simmer to allow flavor to blend and serve with Roti.
