Tired of preparing two dishes for the night? Here is one of the easiest dinner recipes you can prepare tonight. It is simple and does not take too much time too. What you would like most about this recipe is how quickly you can prepare it.
After a long day of work, you want to prepare something easy for the folks at home. This mushroom pepper rice recipe is a quick dish which has loads of nutrients.
Along with this yummy mushroom pepper rice recipe, you can have raitha or simply have it just the way it is. Here is the recipe to make mushroom pepper rice.

Ingredients
- Rice - 1 ½ cups
- Mushroom - 500 gms
- Onions - 1 (sliced)
- Pepper - 2 tbsp
- Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
- Mustard Powder - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Green Chillies - 1 (sliced)
- Butter - 1tbsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Procedure
- You need to first cook the rice separately in water. After it is cooked, keep it aside and wait for it to cool.
- In a pan, heat a little oil and when hot, add to the pan the sliced onions. Fry the onions over a low medium flame and when they turn a little golden brown in colour, add in the chillies.
- Fry both of these ingredients well with the oil and after 5 minutes of continuously frying, add to the pan the chilli powder, mustard powder, and coriander powder. Now fry all the masalas with the onions and chillies.
- Add in the mushrooms to the pan and stir slowly over a medium flame. Add to the mushroom, the pepper powder and give it a mix.
- Allow the mushroom to cook for at least 6 minutes on a low flame.
- Add in the cooked rice to the pan and mix well. Let the rice blend in with the ingredients which is in the pan. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
- When done, sprinkle the salt over the pepper mushroom rice.
Your pepper mushroom rice recipe is now ready for you to relish. Garnish the rice with butter.
