Aloo Gobi Pulao Recipe

Aloo gobhi pulao is a complete meal prepared with the tasty basmati rice, including cauliflower florets and potatoes that are combined with rice and cooked together in the pressure cooker. Aloo Gobi Pulao Recipe

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Potato cubes- 3/4 cup (peeled)
  • Cauliflower florets- 1 cup
  • Basmati- 3 cups (soaked and drained)
  • Ghee- 2tbsp
  • Cinnamon- 1
  • Cloves- 5
  • Bayleaves- 2
  • Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
  • Chilli powder- 1tsp
  • Salt- as per taste

Procedure

  • Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, add cinnamon, cloves and bayleaves and saute on a medium flame for a few seconds.
  • Now add the rice and saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Add the cauliflower, potatoes, rice, turmeric powder, chilli powder & salt and saute on a medium flame for about 1 minute.
  • Add 3½ cups of hot water, mix well and pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  • Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.

Your aloo gobi pulao is ready to relish, serve hot garnished with vegetable raitha.
