Winter Special: Saag Paneer Recipe
Saag paneer recipe is a nutritious option to have in the winter season. This paneer recipe looks green like palak paneer, but it tastes totally different. The main ingredients of saag paneer apart from paneer are spinach leaves and mustard leaves. Since sarson ka saag or mustard leaves are abundantly available during the winter season, this recipe is a winter special delight.
Saag paneer uses cream to make it all the more sumptuous and creamy. You can use the saag of your choice and make it more nutritious and tasty. Use generous amount of cream and make this paneer recipe the favourite dish of your family members.

All you need
- Paneer- 200 gms
- Palak (spinach) leaves- 1 bunch
- Sarson (mustard) leaves- 1 bunch
- Onion- 1 (chopped)
- Tomato puree- 4tbsp
- Garlic- 7-8 pods (chopped)
- Salt- as per taste
- Red chilli powder- 1tsp
- Cumin powder- 1tsp
- Coriander powder- 2tsp
- Garam masala powder- 1tsp
- Kasuri methi- 1tbsp
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Fresh cream- 1/2 cup
- Oil- 2tbsp

Procedure
1.
Wash
and
chop
the
spinach
and
mustard
leaves
and
blanch
them
in
water
for
about
5
minutes
till
they
become
soft.
2.
Heat
oil
in
a
pan
and
add
the
cumin
seeds.
Allow
it
to
splutter.
3.
Then
add
the
onions
and
fry
till
they
turn
golden
brown.
4.
Add
the
chopped
garlic
and
paneer
cubes
and
saute
them
for
a
minute
or
two.

5.
Then
transfer
the
paneer
cubes
to
a
plate.
6.
Then
add
the
blanched
spinach
and
mustard
leaves
to
the
pan.
Cook
for
4-5
minutes
on
medium
flame.
7.
Then
add
the
tomato
puree,
cumin
powder,
red
chilli
powder,
coriander
powder
and
cook
for
3-4
minutes.
8.
Add
salt
and
a
little
water
if
needed.
Mix
well.
9.
Now
add
the
paneer
cubes
and
mix
lightly.

10.
Crush
the
kasuri
methi
between
your
palms
and
sprinkle
over
the
gravy.
11.
Add
garam
masala
and
allow
the
paneer
to
cook.
12.
Finally
add
the
fresh
cream
and
switch
off
the
flame.
Cover
for
5
minutes
before
serving.
