Mango Rasam In 5 Simple Steps
And if you are bored of preparing the usual tomato rasams, here is a spicy mango rasam recipe that can be prepared for your evening supper and tastes best with rice and ghee. All that you require is a raw mango that can make a big difference in taste and helps you have a light meal at night. Take a look to know how to go about with aam rasam or mango rasam recipe.
Mango Rasam Recipe – Best South Indian Dish

- 1 raw mango (chopped, boiled)
- 1 piece of jaggery
- 3 tsp pepper
- 3 tsp cumins seeds
- ' cup curry leaves
- 2-3 green chilies (halved)
- 1 cup fresh coconut (grated)
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 red chili
- A litre of water
- Salt as per requirement
- Chopped coriander for garnish
How To Make Mango Rasam?
1. Strain the juice from the boiled mangoes. Add the juice to a litre of water and bring it to boil.
2. Roast pepper and cumin seeds dry and grind it into powder.
3. Adding a teaspoon of oil, fry chilies and grated coconut and grind it into paste.
4. Add the ground paste and powder, salt, jaggery to the boiling rasam. Stir well.
5. Garnish the rasam with fried mustard seeds, red chilies and curry leaves. Tasty mango rasam is ready.
This rasam recipe serves 5-6.
