Lemon Rasam – Best Recipe For Pregnant Women
There is nothing like the tasty rasams when you are pregnant. The hot rasam rice is very energizing, healthy, non spicy and very yummy to eat. Generally, pregnant women are advised to eat nutritious food so making rasam with vegetable stock and adding fresh spices will help women relax before and after the delivery phase. Lemon Rasam – Best Recipe For Pregnant Women
Ingredients:

Toor
dal
(pressure
cooked
with
turmeric
and
a
teaspoon
of
oil)
2.

tsp
Cumin
seeds
and
black
pepper
(powdered
together)
3.
4-5
Curry
leaves
4.
1
slit
Green
chili
5.
Chopped
Coriander
6.
1
Lemon
('
cup
lemon
juice)
7.
1/4
tsp
Turmeric
8.
2
1/2
cups
Water
(or
vegetable
stock)
9.
Pinch
of
asafoetida
10.
Mustard
seeds-
1/4
tsp
11.
1
tsp
any
refined
oil
12.
Salt
as
per
requirement

Sugar
Lemon Rasam Preparation:
1.
Mash
the
cooked
toor
dal
well
and
leave
it
aside.
2.
In
a
vessel,
add
a
teaspoon
of
oil,
mustard
seeds,
asafoetida,
cumin
pepper
powder,
curry
leaves,
green
chilies,
turmeric
and
fry
well.
3.
Add
2
cups
of
water
to
the
fried
mixture
and
wait
for
it
to
boil.
4.
Then
add
the
mashed
toor
dal,
sugar,
salt
and
stir
well.
5.
After
a
few
minutes
turn
off
the
stove
and
add
'
cup
lemon
juice.
Garnish
with
chopped
coriander
.
Tasty
lemon
rasam
is
ready
to
serve.
Enjoy the lemon rasam recipe hot with ghee and plain rice. The rasam can also be savored as soup.
