Tasty Semiya Biryani

Biryani is usually made from rice. For a change if you are bored of rice or if you need a quick recipe then you can try making biryani using vermicelli. Today we present you with "Semiya Biryani" which is easy to make and is quite filling and satisfying meal.
You can make this Semiya Biryani recipe in hardly sometime without wasting much of your time. Follow our instructions to make this yummy delicious Semiya Biryani recipe and enjoy it in your meal this noon.

All you need
- Vermicelli - 1 cup
- Water -1 ½ cup
- Onion - 1
- Ginger Garlic Paste -3/4 tsp
- Green chillies -2
- Mint leaves-10- 15
- Coriander leaves -few strands
- Mixed vegetables - 1 cup
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Biryani masala -1 tsp
- Oil - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon -1
- Cloves -2
- Cardamom -1
- Bay Leaf -1
- Salt To Taste
Method
- Heat oil in a pan. Add semiya to the oil and roast it until it turns light brown.

Chop
all
the
mixed
vegetables
into
the
shape
of
small
cubes.

Boil
these
veggies
in
a
pan
with
a
pinch
of
salt
for
just
5
mins.
- Make sure you do not over cook the vegetables.
- Finely cut the onion and slit the green chillies.
- Finely chop coriander and mint leaves for garnishing.
Procedure
- Add oil in a pan and heat it. Add the spices (cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf), let it splutter.
- Add onion, green chillies and fry till onions turn golden brown.
- To the same pan, add ginger garlic paste and saute it for a few more minutes.
- Add mint and coriander leaves along with some chilli powder and biryani masala and saute it for a few seconds.
- Add vegetables and salt to the pan and mix all the ingredients well. Add water and boil for 5 mins.
- On simmer flame add the roasted vermicelli and cook until its done.
- Constantly stir the pan as it avoids sticking to the pan.
- Serve hot.
Nutritional Tip: It contains lot of nutritious fibrous rich veggies which are very healthy and nutritious.
Tip: Raita along with pipping hot semiya biryani is a great combo.
