All You Need
Basmati
rice-

cups
Potato-

(boiled
and
chopped)
Peas-
½
cup
(boiled)
Onions-
2
onions
(sliced)
Cumin
seeds-
1
tbsp
Cardamom-
2-4
nos
Cloves-
2-3
nos
Cinnamon-
¼
tbsp
Pepper-
1
tbsp
Salt-
to
taste
Procedure
1.
Wash
the
rice
thoroughly
and
soak
it
in
water
for
an
hour.
Then,
drain
the
rice
and
keep
it
aside.

Now,
take
a
pan
and
heat
oil
in
it.
Add
cumin
seeds
and
wait
till
it
splutters.
Then,
add
cardamom,
cloves
and
cinnamon
to
the
pan.
Roast
the
spices
till
you
get
an
aroma.

Then,
add
peas,
potatoes
and
onions
and
saute
till
the
onions
become
golden
brown.
4.
Now,
add
the
drained
rice
into
the
pan
with
2
cups
of
water.
Also,
add
salt
and
pepper
to
it.
Stir
it
for
a
minute.
5.
Keep
it
in
medium
flame
for
15
minutes
till
the
aloo
matar
ka
pulao
is
cooked.
Your tasty aloo matar ka pulao is ready to be relished. You can have it with raitha or pickles. If you have home-made pickles, then nothing like it!
