Two Recipes To Make Coriander Chutney
Chutney is one of the most popular Indian side dishes. It is like pickle. People team up chutney with roti, rice, pour it over chaats or dip deep fried snacks in it. There are many chutney recipes that are prepared using various ingredients like garlic, coriander, spices, green chillies, kachri (wild variety of cucumber), mango etc.
Tamarind and coriander chutneys are extremely popular of all. These chutneys are poured on many dishes to add a sweet and spicy flavour to the recipe. If you love to eat the green chutney made with fresh coriander leaves, here are two ways to make it.

Coriander chutney with garlic recipe:

Ingredients
- Coriander leaves- 500gms
- Garlic pods- 7-10 (peeled)
- Onion- 2 (peeled and cut into 4 halves)
- Green chillies- 5-6
- Salt- as per taste
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Lemon juice- 1tsp
Procedure
- Wash the coriander leaves properly. Chop off the ends of the leaves and remove spoiled leaves.
- In a blender, add all the ingredients (except lemon juice) and blend well until smooth. Add very little water if the chutney is not blending well.
- Take the chutney out and pour in a bowl. Add lemon juice and mix with a spoon.
- Serve the coriander garlic green chutney as a side dish with roti, rice or snacks.
Coriander chutney with yoghurt recipe:

Ingredients
- Coriander leaves- 500gms
- Yoghurt- ½ cup
- Garlic pods- 7-10 (peeled)
- Onion- 2 (peeled and cut into 4 halves)
- Green chillies- 5-6
- Salt- as per taste
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Lemon juice- ½ tsp
Procedure
- Heat a tawa (griddle). When it becomes hot, roast the peeled garlic pods for 1 minute (till it becomes little brown). Roasting the garlic brings more aroma to the dish.
- You can also roast cumin seeds to increase its flavour.
- Wash the coriander leaves properly. Chop off the ends of the leaves and remove spoiled leaves.
- In a blender, add all the ingredients (except lemon juice) and blend well until smooth. If the curd makes the chutney watery, add extra coriander leaves to make it thick.
- Pour in a bowl and add lemon juice.
