Coconut Chutney

INGREDIENTS Coconut Chutney:

1 Cup Fresh Coconut, Grated
3 - 4 Green Chilies
2 tsp Fried Gram
1 tsp Tamarind Pulp
1 tbsp Coriander leaves

For the Seasoning For Coconut Chutney:

1 tbsp Oil
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1 tsp Urad Dal (Black Gram split)
A pinch of Asafoetida
5 - 6 Curry leaves
Salt to taste

METHOD For Coconut Chutney :

Grind Coconut, Chilies, Fried Gram, Tamarind Pulp, Salt, Water and Coriander leaves to a thick paste. Heat Oil add Mustard Seeds, Urad Dal, Curry leaves and Asafoetida. When Urad Dal turns golden pour it over the Chutney and serve.

This Chutney can be served with Idli, Vada and Dosa
