Sweet Rava Kachori Recipe
Kachoris are tasty Indian fried snack that is very famous in the northern states of the country. These are fried and teamed up with alu ki sabzi or chutneys. There are many kachori recipes that you can treat your guests.
Kachoris can be served as an evening snack or breakfast dish. Khasta kachori for example is a filling kachori meal that people usually have for breakfast. But, sometimes you feel like making sweet kachoris that are mostly available in the sweet shops. Well, it is not difficult to prepare sweet kachoris. All you need is rava, mawa, dry fruits and nuts. Let us take a look at the recipe to prepare sweet rava kachoris.

Ingredients
For filling:
- Rawa- 1 cup
- Mawa- 1 cup
- Almonds- 7-8 (sliced)
- Raisins- 7-8
- Cardamom powder- 1tsp
For syrup:
- Sugar- ½ cup
- Water- 2 cups
- Saffron- 1 pinch
For dough:
- Maida/ All purpose flour- 2 cups
- Cornflour- 1tbsp
- Ghee- 1tbsp
- Salt- a pinch
- Water- 2 cups
Procedure
- In a large bowl, add maida, cornflour, ghee and sprinkle salt. Warm water and pour in the bowl. Knead a soft dough. Cover with a wet muslin cloth and keep it aside.
- In another bowl, mix all the filling ingredients. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients well. The mawa should mash finely.
- Heat a deep bottomed pan. Add water and bring it to boil. When the water starts boiling, add sugar and stir continuously on low flame. Stir till the sugar dissolves completely. Add saffron and stir for 2 minutes. Put the pan off flame.
- Take the dough and make small round balls. Roll them into small rotis and then add the filling. Roll the roti into a ball again and then keep in a plate. Stuff other rolls with the fillings.
- Now, heat oil in a frying pan. When the oil heats up, deep fry the kachoris until they become brown and looks crisp. Maida takes time to fry approximately around 2-4 minutes on a medium flame.
- Place on a paper towel after they are fried.
- Now dip them in the sugar syrup and leave for a minute. Take them out and let the absorb the sugar syrup completely.
Sweet rava kachoris are ready to eat. Serve it as a delicious Indian dessert.
